etsy find: a kingdom by the sea

Monday, April 26, 2010

Once upon a time I met a lovely Etsian by the name of Kelsey Fry (aka AKingdomByTheSea). Kelsey was in fact one of my earliest customers and over the past year we have stayed in touch and have become friends from afar.

I have just put my order in for the gorgeous print above. It's adorable and oh so sweet! I adore the sheer simplicity and pretty undertones of this piece and I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

A Kingdom By The Sea is temporarily closed but I hope it reopens soon so the rest of the world can view Kelsey's brilliance.

As some of you may have noticed, my Etsy store will be closed from Sunday 19 April through to Monday 26 April. I will be out of town during this time but I will still have access to the internet, although limited. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you but I will respond to any emails received as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding!

etsy finds: fashionfucsia

I succumbed to Etsy's front page today. The loveliest print by Spain's Fashion Fucsia was featured in the gallery and I couldn't resist. I saw it, fell in love with it, and before I knew it, I was confirming payment... I'm so bad like that, I shouldn't be so spontaneous with my purchases!

But, it's the most adorable print and I can't wait to receive it in the mail.

Fashion Fucsia's shop can be found here.

vintage goodness

Saturday, April 17, 2010

I'm always on the look out for gorgeous vintage trims that I can incorporate into new pieces for my store. Recently I came across the most beautiful vintage embellished trim, with handsewn pearls and beads. When I saw it, I just had to have it, I knew it would make the most beautiful bridal sash.

There were a few missing pearls and beads but with a little love and care, I was able to restore it to it's former glory. I've also lined it in satin so it looks and feels gorgeous. I'm in love!
